Ola - Handcrafted Portable Table Lamp by Jason Robinson, Walnut In designing Ola, I set out to create a portable light with an artisanal expression. For the Ola: Walnut series, Ola's base is laminated with real walnut veneer. The cast resin shade is hand polished to a matte finish making for a soft feel to the touch. Unlike mass-produced luminaires that use hollow plastic shells, Ola's solid diffuser gives it a noticeable weight and emits a warm candle-like glow. Ola's dimming feature is analog in nature - simply rotate the shade to your desired effect. Ola is cordless and can be charged via a wireless charger (included*). Ola is offered in a variety of handmade designs making each one unique. The Ola: Walnut series is produced in small limited batches. [*Ola's wireless charger includes a USB-C charger cord and outlet power adapter.] About: Jason Robinson is a Canadian artist and designer based in Brooklyn, NY. His multidisciplinary practice produces an eclectic range of work - from art and functional art to humanitarian design. His creations have appeared in the MOMA, Design Miami and WantedDesign.
