About the Item

This lovely pair of lamps was created by the French company, Maison Jansen. This company was based in Paris and was in operation from 1880 to 1989. They are known for their outstanding design and fabrication. Incredible detailing and their design is still what makes them so sought after today. Lamps, such as these, are statement lamps that become a focal point in the design of any space. They draw the eye immediatley. They are heavy cast metal in black and gold. They are in wonderfule condition. onsly a few l rubs on the black finish beneath the eagles. I think they were probably designed circa 1960. The original black silk shades were a little faded so I had Blanche Field replace the silk covering. The shades are lined in the original gold finish. The light source is provided by three sockets with switching. The lamps are 28 inches to the tops of the finials. theshades are 10by 10 by 18 inches wide. The lamps have been inspected for safety. New bulbs are included. In changing the small bulbs, please note that they have a small socket ring attached. Save for new bulbs.
