About the Item

An original French Bouillotte candelabra dating from the mid-19th century, executed in gilt bronze and retaining its original hand-painted green tole shade. Originally designed for candlelight, this model features the classic adjustable shade, allowing the light to be directed by raising or lowering the central stem using the decorative key-shaped finial. The candelabra is fitted with three candle arms arranged around a finely cast central column above a pierced circular base. The original green tole shade has a gilt interior that reflects the candlelight and retains its authentic painted surface with age-related wear. This candelabra has not been converted to electricity and remains in its original candle-lit configuration. The adjustable mechanism functions correctly. A matching second candelabra is available separately, allowing the pair to be purchased together.
