About the Item

Elegant and timeless pair of French plaster Modern neoclassical table lamps in the style of Jean-Michel Frank. These lamps are in a classic baluster form. Jean Michel Frank, France's important decorator of the 1930s, left Paris for Buenos Aires in 1939 at the invitation of South-American clients and to escape the war in Europe. Plaster table lamps similar to these timeless pieces were used in the home of one of Frank's most important clients: the Born Family in Buenos Aires. Dimensions of the bases are approximately D 10" x H 16". The shades are for demonstration purposes only and are not included. Typically, the total height with shades is about 28" with a diameter between 18" and 22" depending on the style of shade.
