About the Item

Post-Modern and Brutalist style alabaster table lamp with clock, Italy, 1980s. Made of hammered, hand-carved and sculpted veined alabaster, with a clock with brass details. Behind the main alabaster piece there is the clock machinery, and an adressable brass lamp holder, which offers a soft and warm light effect through this versatile marble. Artisanal manufacture. Hollywood Regency, Space Age, Palm Beach Regency, Memphis, Neoclassical, French Riviera, Mid-Century Modern and Beaux Arts style. Timeless piece. Very much in the style of Eclipsi's Spanish lighting designs. The alabaster is a material that is both warm and cold, beautiful like marble but at the same time ductile and malleable like wood, translucent like opaline, which plays with light filtering through its veins to create decorative elements of all kinds characterised by a structural and perceptive lightness. For one E14 bulb. Electrical installation renewed and fully operational. LED compatible. Renewed machinery. Very good condition, with little signs of wear and tear. Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
