About the Item

Impressive sculptural ‘Avant Garde” table lamp in very good condition. Designed by Edera Radici in the 1970s Produced by Sagim, Italy The lamp is made of curved sheets of polished stainless steel mounted on a brushed stainless steel base. It is equipped with six bulbs, providing a captivating and dynamic illumination. On the base you can find the original lucite dimmer switch for adjustable lighting. This lamp's unique construction of curved stainless steel sheets not only reflects the innovative spirit of the 1970s but also creates a mesmerizing light effect, enhancing the ambiance of any room. Its original lucite dimmer allows for customizable brightness, catering to various moods and settings. Edera Radici (born 1925) was a versatile Italian artist and designer, active as an etcher, painter, pastellist, and sculptor. She is best known for her innovative lighting designs from the 1950s to the 1970s, which she created for the Italian brand Sagim. Her creations—such as floor lamps, table lamps, and wall sconces—are noted for their avant-garde style and use of materials like stainless steel, rosewood and glass.
