Large Zodiac sunburst mirror in Carved Wood, Spain, 1940s-1950s. One of a kind handcrafted Horoscope mirror with giltwood wheel frame and 12 signs of zodiac. Terrific hand carved zodiac signs on a brown giltwood frame. Eye-catching contrast of the dark brown frame with the gold gilt areas. Manufactured at the Mid-Century Modern period in the style of Renaissance Revival. This mirror has reminiscences in design of the convex mirror shown at Jan van Eyck - Arnolfini Portrait. It will be an interesting choice placed alone or as a part of a sunburst wall composition with other gilded mirrors in different sizes. Rare find.
