About the Item

This mid nineteenth century French rustic Louis XVI style walnut nightstand or side table features hand carved details of rosettes on the die joints and lower apron as well as gadrooning leaves on the drawer fronts. Its two drawers of dovetail construction are appointed with bronze drawer pulls. The cabinet rests on tapered cabled legs detailed with leaves. An unusual artisan-made piece in the Louis XVI style found in Normandy, circa 1870.
