About the Item

19th century Italian hardstone urn in the form of a miniature fountain or baptismal font. The black speckled red stone octagonal top with a craved out bowl supported by four Doric columns of a pale and darker gray veined stone, with a fifth central support. The octagonal base the same beautiful red stone. The base signed with the makers initials and Pisa (?) Dated 1834 An old collectors inventory mark also on the bottom. 6 inches high by 4 wide 4 deep
