Chamberlain-Worcester Porcelain, 1788-1852 by Geoffrey A. Godden. Magna Books, 1992. Hardcover with dust jacket. 375 pages with 433 black and white illustrations and 25 in full color. Chamberlain was the first apprentice at the famous Dr. Wall factory at Worcester in the early 1750s. He progressed to be in charge of the decorating department before leaving to establish his own separate factory in the 1780s. From this time onward, the factory was under his control, and when in 1840 the Worcester factory closed, chamberlain who took it over ensuring the fine porcelain manufacturing in Worcester continues to today.
