Modern Danish Furniture is the third volume of a series of books on modern Danish applied art. This volume, like the earlier ones, is edited by the Danish architect Esbjorn Hiort, M.A.A., who has written the introduction. While Danish silver and Danish ceramics have long been well known and in great demand in foreign countries - especially among collectors - it has only been during the past ten years or so that Danish furniture has gained an international reputation.
