Scacco Matto is more than just a chess set: it is a sculptural object made of Cristallina® marble, produced in a limited edition of only 16 pieces, that blends tradition and innovation, turning every game into a sensory and convivial experience. This elegant piece of furniture, suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments, enriches any space by creating emotions and memories to be passed on. The base echoes the shape of a flower, a detail that also returns in the checkers, designed specifically for this unique design. The contrast between the light and dark squares of the marble evokes the atmosphere of the great tournaments of the past, giving it a refined and timeless character. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, Scacco Matto invites you to stop, play and share moments of relaxation, turning the game of chess into pure art. The project bears the signature of Esther Alcalde (ECAL), a Spanish-born architect and designer who combines landscape, functionality, and formal research in her approach to design. It is part of the Blooming Collection, inspired by the gardens of Ticino, which transforms everyday gestures such as playing, conversing or sharing a meal into precious memories. A luxury collectible, functional sculpture and symbol of conviviality, intended for galleries, residences and exclusive spaces.
