About the Item

Substantial pair of sculptural green marble bookends with clean geometric lines and deeply carved book rests. The rich verde marble displays dramatic natural veining throughout, ranging from smoky charcoal undertones to lighter mineral striations, giving the pair a strong architectural presence. Their minimalist cube form and stepped center detail evoke the refined modernism of late 20th century Italian and postmodern desk accessories. #5349 Ideal for a Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, or contemporary library setting, these heavy marble bookends function equally well as decorative sculptural objects. The asymmetrical natural fissure and mineral inclusions on one example add unique character and organic movement to the stone.
