The designer has been attributed to this piece based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials however, it is not signed or marked as to designer in any way. It does have its B&B Italia tag. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage & not new so will have signs of use & wear even if it has been refinished or restored. An exceptional and visually arresting set of twelve early playing cards, dating to the late 16th century and originating from Austria. Executed in traditional woodblock print and delicately hand-painted, this rare group beautifully reflects the transition from the Late Gothic period into the Early Renaissance in Central Europe.
