About the Item

This mercantile shoe stand has no maker's signature, but is presumed to have originated from England and date to approximately 1920 and done in an Arts & Crafts style. The stand is composed of oak with a pair of shoe rests on the top with adjustable brass fittings, so the shoes can be tilted as desired. The center post is attached to the raised oak base with a single peg.
