This rare late 19th century Antique Luri rug highlights a powerful and rhythmic geometric composition featuring a vertical sequence of four monumental diamond shaped medallions anchored within a deep saturated midnight indigo field. This structural balance between the dark expansive ground and the high contrast terracotta red and sapphire blue medallions reflects the pinnacle of the Luri nomadic weaving tradition from the Lorestan region.
