Anchor a round table, breakfast nook, or entry with this hand-knotted Serapi rug, brought full circle in both format and design. Woven by artisans in Afghanistan, the piece translates the angular Heriz-Serapi vocabulary into a radially symmetric composition that suits the round shape naturally, with every motif stepping outward from the center in perfect eight-point balance. At the heart of the ivory field sits a compact jewel-toned medallion — layered squares of navy, rust, and gold framing a small green center — from which eight angular navy tree-form motifs radiate toward the border, interspersed with red dart shapes and small blue-and-cream florets. Just inside the border, a ring of stylized arch motifs in cream and rust marks the transition to a wide rust-red outer border, where oversized palmette medallions in navy, coral, and gold connect via scrolling teal vinework. Hand-knotted in wool, the rug offers the density and durability of traditional tribal weaving in a versatile round format that works especially well under round or pedestal tables, in breakfast nooks, or as a grounding accent in an entry or reading corner. At roughly 8' in diameter, it comfortably seats a table for four to six without crowding the edges.
