About the Item

This is an antique Tibetan rug woven during the first quarter of the 20th century circa 1920 and measures 150 X 85CM in size. Its design consists of two geometric medallions with a center swastika motif that separates them set on a light red background color. The border is made up of repeating poly-chrome geometric cloud motifs set on an alternating multi-colored background. This piece has been woven on a cotton foundation and made using wool pile and a wide array of pastel colors. It has been retained and overall great condition with most of its original full pile making it a perfect piece to be used and enjoyed for decades to come.
