About the Item

THE MATKA COLLECTION VESSEL — AMBER NOIR Inspired by the timeless forms of traditional clay vessels, Vessel celebrates the quiet beauty of rounded silhouettes and gentle curves. Its sculptural shape echoes the earthen pots once used to store water, oils, and precious goods — objects of daily life elevated into enduring symbols of culture and craft. Vessel is uniquely finished using a traditional hand tie-dye technique. This artisanal process allows the dye to move naturally through the fibres, creating organic tonal shifts, gentle irregularities, and subtle textural variation. No two rugs are ever identical. Each piece carries its own unique character — a quiet signature of the artisan’s hand — making every rug not only a furnishing, but a collectible work of textile art. These natural variations are a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship and should be celebrated as part of the rug’s distinctive identity. Amber Noir captures the dramatic meeting of glowing warmth and deep shadow. Radiant amber and golden ochre tones flow into rich forest green and midnight blue, creating a powerful contrast that enhances the sculptural Vessel form. Finished using the traditional hand tie-dye technique, each rug develops organic tonal movement and subtle variations, making every piece uniquely expressive — a collectible work of textile art defined by depth, balance, and refined intensity. Production: Each rug is made to order. Production time is approximately 5–6 weeks. For larger orders or multiple pieces, lead times may be adjusted accordingly. Please inquire for current production scheduling. Sizes Available (Made-to-Order): 5'7" × 8'2" (170 × 250 cm), 6'7" × 9'10" (200 × 300 cm), 8'10" × 13'1" (270 × 400 cm) Custom Sizes: This rug can also be made in custom sizes to suit your space. Please contact us for a custom quote.
