Made with hand-knotted wool in India circa 1920-1930, this 14x20 antique Agra rug is an extremely rare and exciting new oversized addition to Rug & Kilim’s curations of this celebrated weaving tradition. On the Design: Tones of peach and blush pink underscore floral patterns in the all over style, with red, beige-brown and cream accents the design favors. Keen eyes will further admire the deft hand such finely drawn patterns enjoy in this piece. Radiating with a traditional sensibility influenced by both Persian and Mughal design elements, this antique Agra rug has aged beautifully and offers a window into the royal aesthetics of the past.
