This 12x15 oversized Swedish rug design is from the flatweaves in the Scandinavian rug collection by Rug & Kilim. Handwoven in wool and undyed natural yarns, its design draws on the Swedish minimalism and the hygge aesthetic. On the Design: Connoisseurs may admire our high quality yarn that lends a subtle striae with more of a sense of movement and depth—a subtle nod to Rollakan techniques in a modern fashion. The choice of colors, too, explores their retro feel in a more refreshing quality. This particular rug features beige-brown and ice blue geometric patterns and uses striae in this construction—creates more of a sense of movement within the geometry, and it still sits comfortably and has the inviting sense of repetition that really speaks to the intentions of Swedish minimalism and the hygge aesthetic.
