This incredibly cool rug lends a unique texture to any room. With a relaxed, casual vibe, and rows of longer nubby yarn, this piece is almost a tailored version of a shag rug. It's an organic modern piece with a sophisticated presence that looks great and works with a variety of styles. It's handwoven by expert weavers in the remote Dry Forrest area of northern Argentina following ancestral techniques. Made of pure sheep wool, the entire process, from shearing to carding to weaving and finishing is done within the same family or community. By choosing Awanay textiles you are supporting the work of talented rural artisans living in inaccesible areas in northern Argentina. Measures: 8' x 10'. Any size can be made to order. Price: $86/sq. ft. Lead time is 14-16 weeks. Care instructions: Don't use stain removers. Sheep wool is naturally stain repellant and doesn't absorb liquids. To clean a stain, tap gently with a lukewarm wet cloth, gentle soap, and white vinegar. Never scrub. Vacuum regularly following the direction of the weave. Do not use a brush nor a high suction mode. If professional cleaning is needed, make sure it's done by a pure wool cleaning expert.
