Antique Lori, Nomadic Persian Rug 3' 2" x 6' 10" Unique, small tribal Persian rug, salvaged from a rug that was woven over 100 years ago by the Lores. Hailing from one of the most ancient rug weaving cultures and one of the most well known tribes of Persia, the Lores. Known for their skillful weaving and recognizable geometric designs, Lores have been pioneers in rug weaving for millennia. Due to their rich history and timeless designs, works of this tribe ae greatly desired by collectors around the world. Comprised entirely of Persian wool raised, sheared, spun, dyed, and hand-woven by a member of The Lores many years ago. This rug is actually the center of a larger rug that had been damaged and altered to create this uniquely shaped piece. The design of this rug truly is unique and perhaps one of a kind. Due to it's size and shape it is very versatile. Great for entry ways, kitchens and bathrooms this throw rug really can be thrown anywhere! It could even look great as a table runner. Its repeating geometric design and aged rusty appearance allow this piece to work with any decor and any floor. This piece is over 100 years of age and for the most part of its life it was on the floor of a nomads tent. Despite what damage it had at one point, this piece was expertly repurposed and what remains is perfectly intact and great shape. This rug has since transformed but it is ready to last in its new form for another 100 years! This piece, like the rest of our collection, was hand-picked by Persian Rug expert and Shiraz native, Jason Dadras. Each piece was acquired through the relationships he forged around the world. Our rugs are ethically sourced and have been legally imported.
