This vintage runner rug is a 3x8 Turkish distressed piece, made with hand-knotted wool circa mid-20th century. It is an exciting new addition to our collection of distressed Turkish runner rugs. On the Design: Admirers of the craft will especially appreciate vintage Turkish distressed rugs as enduring works with their own layered history and artistry. This long runner, made with hand-knotted wool, features a bold, tribal geometric pattern of repeating medallions softened by age and wear. The large, serrated diamonds create a striking zigzag line down the length of the rug, each containing a starburst motif and outlined in a deep brown. Its muted beige ground is enriched by faded tones of soft rose, gray, and brown, creating a sense of quiet refinement. The distressed finish pays homage to generations of use, where time itself has become part of the design. As much a statement of modern minimalism as it is a reflection of timeless Anatolian artistry, this rug bridges folk tradition with contemporary appeal. Condition: This vintage runner rug further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Its pile height has been lowered, which creates the look of a zero-pile, distressed texture and boho-chic beauty.
