Handwoven in a wool flatweave, originating circa 1950-1960, this 5x11 vintage Turkish kilim is an excellent example of the slit weave and is dense with colors that have aged beautifully for its period—remaining particularly crisp in the brighter colors that tend to show age faster—a rare find like few of its kind. On the Design: This personal vintage piece is meant to catch the eye, yet still so atypical in its color and design choices that are so complementary to each other making it a comfortable, and inviting piece. Admirers of the craft may admire the polychromatic geometric stripes, medallions and patterns in the all over style.
