This is a Rolf Rastad & Adolf Relling for Gimson & Slater Rock 'n Rest chair featuring an angled teak frame and textured oatmeal upholstery. The defining element of this model is its built-in metal ratchet and lever mechanism. This allows the user to transition smoothly from an upright seating position to a locked reclined state, or unlock it completely to use it as a gentle rocking chair. [1, 2, 3] Designed in Norway by Adolf Relling and Rolf Rastad, produced in the UK by Gimson and Slater in the early 1960s,
