About the Item

This is a Pair of Oak and Steel Armchairs, designed by Voitto Haapalainen for Asko in Finland. The pair was imported and distributed by Stendig in the 1960s. The listed price includes the two chairs as shown. They feature thick bent oak back rails, and have upholstered padded seats. The legs are made of stainless steel. Each chair measures 22 inches deep, 22.5 inches wide, and 28 inches high. They have a seat height of 18 inches. The wood has patina and one of the backs is a bit darker than the other. One of the chairs also shows more scuffs and scratches on the legs than the other. The fabric is in need of reupholstery, and the foam cushions are crunchy. Overall, these chairs are solid and are in good shape. Please see photos.
