19th Century European Walnut Gondola Style Armchair. The chair features a ladder back, down-scrolled arms, and an X frame cross stretcher on 4 paw feet. This specific silhouette is often associated with "Gondola" or "Renaissance Revival" styles. The 3 shaped ladder back is topped with turned finials. The chair has a stuff over saddle seat upholstered in fine brown leather augmented with studding. Richly patinated mid-19th century example is in good/very good condition.
