About the Item

Available today, this spectacular set of two Mid-Century Modern armchairs with stools in cane and iron attributed to Carlo Hauner is nothing less than gorgeous. The armchairs feature a steel structure with four legs, tall backrest, curved seat and wide armrests with caning finish. Each armchair comes with a stool. The four pieces are sold as a set. The cane and steel are in the original condition and look awesome together. The set was designed in the fifties as outdoor furniture but a sculptural set as this could equally look great indoors. The set is showcased in our gallery next to Willy Guhl flower pot and the convo looks stellar. This midcentury gem would look great in any Mid-Century Modern, or postmodern type environment and the iconic design and Size will make this desk an absolute must in everyone’s mid modern century collection. The design is attributed to Carlo Hauner (1927-1997) and Martin Eisler (1913-1977) who were the primary designers for the iconic Brazilian furniture company Forma. They are most known for well-shaped armchairs made in iron, but the production is far more complex, handcrafted, and extensive. The wood pieces produced by Forma Móveis e Objetos de Arte during 1950 & 1960s in Brazil are highly designed and well-executed.
