About the Item

A beautiful pair of Swedish Art Deco armchairs, open wood arms, rounded backrest, sprung seat, 1940s Good overall condition, stable, wear to the wood, with a good waxing could be used as they are, otherwise a soft retouch would be just fine; upholstery with traces of use, fabric is a textured floral velvet, worn-out in the sitting area. Dimension: 56 x 57 x 82 cm. Crafted in the 1950s, these wingback armchairs consist of a beechwood frame and blue grey velvet upholstery. Curved forms characterize the design, which can be seen in the beautifully sloping arms and rounded back. Condition notes: In good and structurally sound condition. General surface wear, including scuffs and scratches to wood and fading to fabric, all consistent with the chairs' age and use. These chairs are a good candidate for reupholstery work and restoration.
