A nice piece that sits well in any setting. The arms are beautifully curved and flow wonderfully down with the elegant lines of the saber legs The chairs was originally designed by Gillows of Lancaster in the late 18th century, it is a timeless masterpiece of style and design In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age and use related marks here and there, mostly it’s in fine order. Dimensions Height:- 97cm seat height 49.5cm Width:- 54.5cm Depth:- 55.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely exquisite antique Circa 1840-1860 English oak office chair in the manor of Gillows of Lancaster & London, with a Scottish Tartan Chesterfield tufted back rest A very good looking well made and decorative office chair, it has the original white porcelain castors, a thick hand carved Mahogany frame, the seat is wonderfully sculpted in the William IV style, as mentioned the back rest has Scottish tartan This chair is very substantial, its around 20% larger than other period chairs, the cuts of timber, dimensions, everything is just large Condition wise we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there may be some age and use related patina marks based on normal use and transport Dimensions Height: 93cm Width: 64cm Depth: 74cm Seat height: 40cm All measurements are taken at the widest points.
