About the Item

A fine Louis XV period Fauteuil a la Reine armchair in beech, beautifully sculpted and carved with floral and other motifs on the crest and seat rails as well as the cabriole legs, currently upholstered in well-worn Damask silk fabric (needs replacing). The crest rail is carved with the letters “PPXLV” which is likely a chateau inventory number.
