Lounger black armchair by Jaime Hayon Dimensions: D 91 x W 76 x H 99 cm Materials: Armchair with a cast aluminum base structure and footstool with tubular steel legs and painted. Seat, backrest, and footstool in plywood and veneered in beechwood. Also available in other finishes: natural ash, ash-stained oak, or ash-stained black and walnut, natural effect. Also available in a single color, lacquered in red RAL 3004 (LAC M19) and Fusion Granat (TF122) material. Decorative metal buttons coated in the same finish as the structure. Armrests, seat, backrest, and footstool upholstered in different materials and leathers provided by BD. It has an elegance carried throughout the series, the comfort that this typology requires in an armchair, and the unmistakable hallmark in Hayon’s designs – contrasts between classicism and modernity, monochrome finishes, and quality manufacturing with material or leather upholstery. In the wake of its success, BD has added other pieces to the Collection by Jaime Hayon, one of these being The Lounger. In 1972, a group of young architects and designers from Barcelona created BD with the aim of producing and marketing furniture and other objects for our projects, with complete creative freedom and with a criterion that has turned out to be quite different from the norm at companies in the sector, regarding both the shape and function.
