About the Item

This beautiful pair of vintage mid century modern arm chairs attributed to mid century Italian designer Gio Ponti are circa 1950. The distinctive design features sculptural, lacquered solid wood frames with clean, elegant lines and gentle, organic curves. Padded seats and bow-tie shaped backrests have original brown upholstery in a textured fabric with taupe brown pinstripes and thin black and pale blue accent lines. A truly unique and well-crafted pair of chairs; perfect as dining chairs, side chairs, or accent chairs. CONDITION Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. DIMENSIONS W 21" x D 25" x H 33.25" Seat Height: 20”
