Designed by Norman Cherner, the iconic Cherner Chair remains one of the defining achievements of mid-century American furniture design. Originally introduced in 1958, the design is celebrated for its elegant sculptural form, combining flowing organic curves with exceptional strength and comfort. This set has been faithfully reissued using the original drawings and moulds, preserving every detail of the celebrated original while employing the same high standards of American craftsmanship. Constructed from moulded walnut plywood with solid bent wood components, each chair showcases the distinctive hourglass silhouette and gently curved backrest that have made the Cherner design an enduring classic. The rich walnut finish highlights the natural grain of the timber, lending warmth and sophistication to both contemporary and traditional interiors. This set comprises six side chairs and two matching armchairs, making it ideal for a substantial dining table or boardroom setting. Comfortable, lightweight and instantly recognisable, the Cherner Chair has earned its place in museums and prestigious design collections around the world.
