About the Item

HUG Chair Designed by Vintola Studio, HUG Chair is defined by a continuous upholstered backrest that gently wraps around the body, creating a sense of comfort and intimacy. Its sculptural silhouette combines soft, rounded upholstery with slender wooden legs and exposed structural elements. The contrast between the generous seat and the light, curved wooden frame gives the chair a distinctive character while keeping the form visually balanced. HUG was designed as a contemporary interpretation of mid-century furniture - familiar in its proportions, yet unexpected in detail. The embracing backrest naturally forms the armrests, making the chair particularly comfortable for long dinners and conversations. Handcrafted in Poland, each piece can be finished in a selection of wood stains and upholstered in a wide range of fabrics. About the fabric which we used for this chair: A jacquard fabric featuring a fine geometric pattern inspired by Art Deco and Biedermeier aesthetics. The "Scale" motif evokes the rhythmic arrangement of scales found on a snake or other reptile. Depending on the fabric's orientation, the pattern can also be interpreted as a botanical design. Its distinct texture and robust weave look best on simple forms and smooth surfaces. The fabric is suitable for upholstery as well as for creating textile interior accents such as cushions, bolsters, decorative panels, and headboards. "Scale" is available in seven colorways and, together with the "Tile," "Shard," and "Sandglass" fabrics, forms the Kaleidoscope collection. Composition: Cotton 53%, Polyester 39%, Wool 4%, Acrylic 4% 20 000 Martindale cycles
