Dimensions: 28 inches High x 44.5 inches wide x 18.5 inches deep. Seat height 19 inches. This elegant pair of French Empire style benches, dating to the second half of the 20th century, reflects the enduring influence of the neoclassical designs popularized during the Napoleonic era. The benches feature rich ebonized frames highlighted with refined brass mounts, creating a sophisticated contrast between the dark wood finish and the warm metallic accents. The sculptural form is defined by gracefully curved saber-style legs joined by a central support, a motif commonly associated with Empire and neoclassical furniture.
