About the Item

Following Rooly, Rooooly stands out as the natural evolution of the first model. Its graphic and iconic character unfolds like an alphabet of shapes. This idea of language is expressed here in a minimalist style where each shape, stripped of artifice, invites us to imagine possible extensions and to appropriate these codes in order to anticipate future creations. About the designer Born in Brittany and based in Paris, Raphaël Pontais is a qualified multidisciplinary designer specialising in furniture and interior objects. In 2021, he collaborated with decorator and interior architect Oscar Lucien Ono, designing furniture for hotels and private residences in Europe and across the Atlantic. Combining his approach to design with that of the interior designer in the heart of Saint-Germain-Des- Prés, he remains faithful to his resolutely contemporary universe when working on personal projects. Raphaël Pontais made his name at last year’s Paris Design Week at the Espace Commines, curated by Emily Marant, and went on to exhibit at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven with Isola Design, before recently exhibiting at Maison & Objet with the support of Paris Design Week Factory.
