The Storängen chair epitomizes our belief in the honesty of traditional skills. Storängen stands proud on its own but is equally happy in a group. It is something to rest your eyes on and is more than somewhere to sit. Add cushions and you have the perfect place to read a book or take in a view. Storängen Design In early 2017 Mårten Cyrén and Torbjörn Källberg established Storängen Company – an IDEA 15 years in the making. In the fall of 2020 Mårtens son Carl replaced Torbjörn as CEO and co-owner. Together they continue to collaborate with a well-established network of designers, craftsmen and makers, and further develop a portfolio of furniture based on timeless ideals and modern Scandinavian design. Such as Storängen. A bold and charismatic offspring of the Classic Windsor chair with uncompromising functionality and craftsmanship. The product that gave the company its name and with it came a simple IDEA: creating a direct and honest link between the craftsmen making the furniture, and the professional and private buyers they were intended for. Storängen furniture is sustainably sourced, classically designed and manufactured with a combination of traditional skills and modern techniques. It is furniture to last a life-time.
