About the Item

This design by the Ebbe and Karen Clemmensen is one of the most elegant among the many Safari Chairs from the Mid-Century era. The slope of the seat and its compound curve makes it unique. This ash wood has NOT been refinished and is original and untouched with 60+ years of wear and patina.

    Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. The frame has been re-glued and has no apparent damage. The piece has been professionally reupholstered with fabric similar to the original green wool tweed fabric. The original foam had disintegrated and was replaced. New leather strap arm rests.
