About the Item

This is an early Eames Herman Miller LSX chair . That is Lounge Side chair on X base . First generation (1950) with screw in domes of silence foot glides . The brace or frame that holds the four slotted screws attaching the seat to base is square . Later chairs were not a uniform square . Chair in as found estate condition . Appears to have been repainted at some point . Paint is flaking in spots . Some cracks which are typical of this chair in the wire rods crossing over the X base . The chair is early and rare not a lot made with X base in lounge height . Of course even less survived . You buy this chair as is where is please ask whatever questions you may have regarding condition . Beautiful example but not perfect most vintage is not .
