About the Item

Designed in 1994, the Hermann Czech chair represents the turning point of modern furniture towards the passion of reminiscence and intimacy: a contemporary design that evokes memories of times gone by. An ideal way of maintaining continuity with the late XIXth century Thonet style. ‘Czech’ adapts the harmony of steam bent beech wood to its pure and abstract design, which is further enhanced by the various finishes available. Solid and hardwearing, this chair is also available in a padded version, with or without armrests. The seat frame is curved from a single piece of wood, and supported by an arched structure giving it greater stability and strength plastic protection caps. Additional Information: Materials: Beechwood with Plywood Seat Dimensions: H 33.4 x W 16.5 x D 20.1 inch. Seat Height: 17.7 inch WIENER GTV DESIGN is a trademark which distinguishes the historical and contemporary collection of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH (GTV).

The great classic. The item that is absolutely the most famous and most sold in the history of furniture. Designed by Michael Thonet in 1860, the No. 14 chair immediately became known as the bistro chair. Minimalist both in the chosen material and the fact that just six elements go into forming the entire item, the No. 14 is the result of almost twenty years of research. Simple, versatile and ever contemporary, it is considered the first true example of industrial design. The structure is formed from carefully steam bent solid beech wood. The backrest and back legs are formed out of a single piece of wood. Various different seats available. Additional Information: Materials: Beechwood with perforated...
