Materials: Mirror Polished Steel and Glass (also available in a powder-coated finish upon request). In the megalithic stone circles that were used to mark time and seasons, the angular mysterious structures serve as the foundation for this collection. Their enigmatic beauty, form, and meaning are all brought together in computational algorithms. The Kronos Chair explores the interplay of natural and artificial, resulting in angular, mirrored forms that reflect and fragment their surroundings. Capturing both the past and future in its striking, sculptural forms, the polished stainless-steel surfaces create a kaleidoscope of imagery, reflecting the energy of the surrounding environment. Available in bespoke finishes and handmade to order, the Kronos Collection continues Duffy’s tradition of merging ancient influences with modern craftsmanship, creating pieces that transcend time and expectation. The Kronos chair is available in indoor or outdoor finishes. About :DUFFY is a concept-based design studio led by founder Christopher Duffy. Our work plays with illusion, gravity and geometry, and is inspired by nature. Each Duffy piece is part of a limited collection and individually crafted in our London Docklands studio. Duffy collections have been showcased around the world — at events such as Art Basel, Art Miami, 100% Design, PAD London and London Design Festival. Our work has been acquired by The Louvre, and by collectors including Sylvester Stallone, Prince and Miley Cyrus. Our collections are found in the spaces of companies such as Google, Hudson Yards and Four Seasons Hotels. In our studio, we constantly explore new technologies, combining them with ancient craft techniques to create luxury art-furniture that is both sustainable and unique.
