A fine pair of armchairs in the neoclassical in the manner of Robert Adam Constructed in mahogany with hand-painted gilt accents and red leather, each with oval backs enclosed with interlocking dart and braid carved design, with outswept arms curving into the front legs; with fluted serpentine front and side rails meeting at carved rosettes on the front corners, raised on fluted and foliate front legs terminating at topie feet and shaped back legs, circa 1870.
