About the Item

I propose a pair of fun and unusual folding chairs that will transform your living room into a Royal reception area. Inspired by the court seating chairs of Louis XV, these folding chairs succeed in an impossible mission, combining the excessive decoration typical of the Rococo style with the functionality of design. Made with thick shaped plywood panels, these Rococo style chairs are stable, solid and easy to open and also to store easily thanks to the small space once closed. Designed between the 90s and the early 200s by the designer and creative director Vivian Van Schagen, these chairs bring together the work of "subtraction" done on the Louis XV chairs by Philippe Starck with the iconic Luis Gost, preserving the perfect dose of arabesques and floral motifs that, silkscreened, recall the splendid highly decorative production of Piero Fornasetti. The dimensions of the closed chairs are: Length 48cm Height 97.5 Depth 8cm These chairs are in good condition but still show small signs of wear on the back visible in photos and videos. reach out for any additional questions.
