About the Item

Designed by Chromcraft in 1966, the Sculpta Chair is an iconic example of American Space Age design. Its sculptural chrome frame and futuristic silhouette became widely recognized through its appearance in the original *Star Trek* television series, making it one of the most celebrated furniture designs of the era. This set features polished chrome frames with the signature cantilevered form that defines the Sculpta design. The combination of bold geometry and comfortable seating reflects the optimism and innovation of late 1960s industrial design. Original examples have become increasingly sought after by collectors of Space Age, modernist, and postmodern furniture. The chairs are presented in excellent vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. The chrome retains a bright finish, and the upholstery is clean and well presented.
