About the Item

Set of 8 cantilever dining chairs with tubular in chromed steel and seat and back in lacquered wood. A striking set of eight dining chairs designed by Carlo Bartoli, showcasing a refined balance of sculptural form and industrial materials. These chairs feature a fluid, one-piece molded plywood seat and backrest, elegantly curved for comfort and visual continuity. The seats are finished in a deep black stain that subtly reveals the natural wood grain, paired with sleek chrome-plated tubular steel cantilever frames. The cantilever structure provides both flexibility and comfort while emphasizing the chairs’ light, modern profile. A distinctive detail is the exposed metal support element at the back, which adds both structural integrity and a subtle industrial accent. The overall design reflects Bartoli’s signature approach—clean, intelligent, and quietly expressive. Very good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
