About the Item

Set of 8 Tal Oak Chairs by Kann Design Dimensions: D 40 x W 44 x H 80 cm. Materials: Natural oak, aluminum. Available in other finishes. The Tal chair designed by Léonard Kadid is made of aluminium and wood. The T aluminium profiles reinforce the plywood seat and allow the solid wooden legs to lock on them. This structural principle defines its entire geometry giving a radical yet subtle presence. Easy to assemble, the chair is flat packed. Founded in 2010, Kann Design is a furniture-making brand that brings together the know-how of the Kanaan workshop and the talents of independent designers. Kann’s adventure is above all a family story: what distinguishes it from the rest is the skilled work of the craftsmen of Kanaan, a collective founded in 1958 in Beit Chabab, Lebanon, by the father of Houssam, the founder of Kann Design, himself a cabinetmaker. Since its creation, the studio has shown and gained great skills in cabinetmaking, painting, tapestry, and welding, and since 2017, thanks to Houssam’s brother, Samer Kanaan, the workshops have been modernized and expanded to accommodate Kann’s ever-more ambitious projects, particularly customized orders for specific projects carried out in collaboration with architects.
