Circa 1960, we offer this Set of 4 Original Midcentury Mexican Chairs designed by Eugenio Escudero for D’Escudero, S.A. This stunning chairs features a fantastic mahogany wood frame with sculptural, clean lines. The scissor-shaped tapered legs are capped with brass sabots, ensuring comfortable support and optimal stability. ABOUT EUGENIO ESCUDERO: Was a Mexican furniture designer, who dedicated himself to selling commissioned furniture that he designed for the elite of Mexico City in the 1950s. He was recognized for the traces of his furniture, with a balanced symmetry and bronze incrustations. His designs are clearly influenced by the Italian modernist Gio Ponti.
