About the Item

When pure geometry meets soft curves, something sculptural and sensual comes out. A fine dialogue between oversized legs and clean lines takes place in this piece upholstered in mohair velvet. Marlon is edgy and elegant at the same time, letting the dilemma between ‘contemporary’ versus ‘classical’ fall apart. Here it is presented in a Rich Kvadrat in Blue. Other colors available. Made to Order. Pietro Franceschini is an architect and designer based in New York and Florence. He applies a contemporary design vocabulary to a classical Italian sensibility. Irreverent and Emotionally impactful, Franceschini's furniture reflects his desire to combine playful energy within sophisticated, timeless elements. A resolutely twenty-first-century designer, he imbues his work with questions about reality, functionality and digital illusion. He was educated in Italy, Portugal and United States. After receiving his B.Arch cum laude from Università degli Studi di Firenze and his M.S.Arch with 1st class honour from Pratt Institute, he collaborated among others with Leeser Architecture in Brooklyn, Claudio Nardi in Florence, Laisné Roussel in Paris and Carlo Ratti Associati in New York. His latest project - PFStudio - was born in 2020 as an interior and furniture design practice. For sales with delivery address within European territories, VAT will be charged additionally to the stated price. Measure: W=190 cm.

Antonio Citterio Esosoft Bench by Cassina, Mid-Century Modern Italy

By Antonio Citterio, Cassina

Located in Barcelona, Barcelona

Antonio Citterio Esosoft bench Manufactured by Cassina in Itlay A living room system designed to define the domestic landscape in a fluid, flexible manner. This is Esosoft ? the first project by Antonio Citterio for Cassina ? a modular sofa that embodies the timeless elegance and style the Italian designer is known for and, at the same time, is an aspirational tribute to the art of the great masters and to the practice of visualizing furniture by detaching the structural part from its padded interior. In fact, Esosoft consists of an aluminium exoskeleton and a shell with an organic silhouette upon which soft cushions are placed. Past and future coexist in this shape ? reminiscent of the concept of casual comfort typical of the 1960s ? that benefits from cutting-edge production techniques, mindfully chosen to make the system circular and sustainable. Thanks to the work of Cassina LAB, materials like a polyurethane foam that contains a percentage of polyols deriving from biological sources and blown recycled PET fibre in the backrest cushions. The Esosoft collection comprises eight modules that can be used as individual sofas or combined to form corner arrangements, lending the utmost flexibility to the configuration of living spaces...
